My pieces are a combination of maximalist color, cultural representation, and multimedia experimentation. My work explores identity, memory, and communication through layered materials. It spans from illustration, graphic design, sculpture, screenprinting, fashion, and mixed-media assemblage, all unified through a maximalist approach to color storytelling and emotional expression. Each of my pieces are fragments of my imagination, at times mimicking a playful narrative through vibrant and whimsical perspective. I try my best to pursue work fueled by creative expression and grounded with personal intention. I pull concepts from cultural memory, personal experience, and symbolism to create visuals that feel alive and immersive!
From neon illustrations and character driven drawings and tactile sculptures, I love working in combination with unexpected materials, textures, and references, and allowing them to work in collaboration in the creative and experimental processes found in art. My practice treats art internally and externally, as both archive and playground, a space where maximalist energy can exist. Whether I am creating designs, hand-built objects, or narrative scenes, my overall goal is to invite viewers and create a safe space shaped from stories that I carry and stories from communities I come from!
